30 Days In Atlanta Hijacked By Pirates

30 Days in Atlanta is a 2014 Nigerian romantic comedy film produced by Ayo Makun and directed by Robert Peters. The film was shot on location in Lagos and Atlanta. It was declared the highest grossing film of all time in Nigerian cinemas. The movie which also received 10 nominations from the 2014 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards - has been hijacked by film pirates...

The pirates are now selling copies of the movie on the streets of Lagos, and the brain behind the film comedian AY Makun has written a letter to the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
In the letter he said that the success of the film has quickly turned to sorrow as 30 Days in Atlanta is being sold by dubious marketers in Alaba.
He said that nothing has been done to get the pirated copies off the street even after he had contacted the right authorities.
AY said that no  more should a miscreant be celebrated or allowed to rape intellectual properties of honest hardworking citizens with impunity while the owners of the property impotently look on.
He said that no more should movie producers and other intellectual property owners scrabble to quickly make the little they can before ‘Alaba boys’ get their hands on the content and turn a goldmine into a dunghill.
