Jim Carrey's tragic ex-lover posted picture of herself on 'anti-depressant' vitamin drip at Scientology course weeks before she 'killed herself

The ex-girlfriend of Jim Carrey allegedly killed herself with a cocktail of three drugs, as it emerges that she was enrolled on a Scientology ‘purification process’ designed to protect believers from depression.
It has been alleged that three different bottles of drugs were found next to Cathriona White’s body in her California home, after she committed suicide last week.
The news comes amid claims that the Scientologist had been enrolled in a ‘purification process’ that discourages people from seeking psychiatric help.

The 30-year-old make-up artist and aspiring actor, who was originally from Ireland, split with the Hollywood star, 53, last week.
A suicide note that was found by her body mentions Mr Carrey, but no further details have been revealed.
Photographs on Ms White’s Instagram page reveal that she had undergone two major steps in the ‘purification’ programme, reported The Times.
The allegations come from respected American journalist Tony Ortega, who has been writing about Scientology for more than 20 years.
One photograph, shared by Ms White seven weeks ago, shows her taking an intravenous drip of what she identifies as Vitamins B and C, as well as the naturally-occurring antioxidant glutathione.
Members of the religion are told that the cocktail will protect them from depression, which runs in Ms White's family, and other illnesses.
Other photographs show her taking classes at Scientology’s Celebrity Centre, which is designed to cater to Hollywood’s famous faces.
The religious movement offers classes specifically catering to celebrity hopefuls, such as acting goal classes and financial management.
It is attractive to ‘wannabe’ Hollywood insiders for its celebrity followers, such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta.
Ms White was initially introduced to Scientology by the 2015 Grammy award-winner Beck and a group of his friends, after she moved to L.A. in 2009.
‘I’m not saying she was depressed or killed herself because of Scientology,’ Tony Ortega, who wrote a book exposing Scientology’s practices, told The Times.

‘However, if you are depressed, Scientology is just about the worst place to be because they constantly drill it into people that psychiatry is not real and therapists are fakes.’
Scientology is well-known for its insistence that psychiatry and antidepressants should be avoided at all costs, teaching that the brain is only a shell that holds alien spirits which can be released only by religion.
Photographs that Ms White tweeted just under a year ago, show her in a sauna undergoing the ‘Purif’ programme.
‘Purif’ is short for the ‘Purification Rundown’, a process invented by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard that he claimed could ‘detoxify’ the body through an intense regimen of daily sauna sessions and massive doses of the vitamin niacin.
Ms White’s mother, Brigid, and sister, Lisa, flew to L.A. yesterday to take her body home to Cappawhite, a tiny village in County Tipperary.
It has not yet been confirmed that the three medicines found by her body were the cause of her death, as a post-mortem has not yet been conducted.
Ms White and Mr Carrey, who have been in an on-off relationship for three years, were last seen together on September 10, smiling and deep in conversation on a date at the Kayne Griffin Corcoran Gallery in L.A.
They are believed to have split up on September 24, and Ms White tragically killed herself.
In her heartbreaking last tweet on September 24, which friends failed to see as a cry for help, she said: ‘I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.’
Shortly after news of her death broke on Tuesday, Carrey released a statement saying: ‘I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona.
‘She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.’
The Church of Scientology has not offered a comment.
