The
estranged father of Lamar Odom says he believes his son was drugged after he
was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada after taking up to 10 herbal
Viagra pills.
Joe
Odom says he refuses to believe that his son had been leading a party lifestyle
and revealed he only found out he had been taken to hospital after reading news
reports.
The
NBA star has had a rocky relationship with his father, who suffered from drug
addictions, and previously claimed he has been absent from much of his life.
And
now he is calling on his son's ex-wife Khloe Kardashian to get in touch to let
him know about his son's condition.
He
told Hollywood life - 'Somebody drugged my son. There's no way
he's down there partying crazy like that. No way. I knew something was wrong
because I've been calling him all day and he hasn't been answering. I'm
depressed right now - this is messed up!'
The
Nye County Sheriff's Department said he was then taken by another ambulance
Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas because he was too tall at 6'10" to be
airlifted.
He
is reported to be in a coma with heart failure and also suffering problems with
his liver and kidneys.
Brothel
owner Dennis Hof told DailyMail.com that an employee saw liquid pouring from
his mouth and nose.
He
said there were no signs that Odom had been doing drugs other than the herbal
Viagra substitute.
His
ex-wife Khloe Kardashian is at his side and it is thought she is with her
sister Kim Kardashian West and her mother Kris Jenner.
Odom's
mother died of colon cancer when he was just 12-years-old and he was raised in
the Queen's area of New York by his grandmother.
Lamar also has two children, Destiny and L.J,
pictured, with his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales.
The NBA stars estranged father also appealed to his
former daughter-in-law Khloe Kardashian to get in touch, saying he only found
out Lamar was found unconscious after reading news reports.
